Lingxin Zhang
Lingxin Zhang earned Indiana University - Bloomington's first Master of Arts degree in Egyptology in 2014, writing her MA thesis on Contextualizing the Antinoeion at Hadrian’s Villa. She completed her Ph.D. in Egyptology at The Johns Hopkins University in 2021, and spent two years as Lector of Ancient Egyptian Language in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Yale University. She is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics, Georgetown University.
Hilo Sugita
Hilo Sugita earned her Master of Arts degree in Egyptology in 2016. Her MA thesis, Uncovering the Dead: An Extensive Study of the Late Period Coffin Lid of Qnw-pw-s at the Indiana University Art Museum, has received multiple awards; it was the recipient of both the Indiana University Graduate School Distinguished Master's Thesis award and the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Distinguished Master's Thesis award in 2017. She is now a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at Harvard University.
Julia Puglisi
Julia Puglisi earned her Master of Arts in Egyptology in 2017. Her MA thesis, The Mechanics of Egyptian Paronomasia: Applying Pattern Recognition Search to the Ramesside Dream-Book was the recipient of the Indiana University Graduate School Distinguished Master's Thesis award in 2018. She is now a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at Harvard University.
Justine Galambus
Justine Galambus earned her Master of Arts in Egyptology in 2018, writing her MA thesis on The Use of UV-IS Spectroscopy on Egyptian Polychromy. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Morsani College of Medicine of the University of South Florida in 2023.
Kylie Thomsen
Kylie Thomsen earned her MA in Egyptology in 2018, writing her MA thesis on The Tomb Of Meketre: A Digital Reconstruction And Recontextualization. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Egyptology in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at UCLA.
Matei Tichindelean
Matei Tichindelean earned his MA in Egyptology in 2019, writing his thesis on Digital Recontextualization: A Case Study on Amarna Statuary. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology, UCLA.
Xiaofan Zhao
Xiaofan Zhao earned her MA in Egyptology at Indiana University in 2019, writing her thesis on The Emphatic Verbs in Middle Egyptian – Taking the “Story of Sinuhe” as a Case Study from a Linguistic Perspective. She earned a second Master’s in Egyptology at Brown University in 2021, and is currently an acquisition editor in humanities and social science for a publisher in Beijing, China.
Amanda Ladd
Amanda Ladd earned her MA in Egyptology at Indiana University in 2020, writing her thesis on Divine Threads: An Analysis of the Use of Linen in Ancient Egyptian Funerary Texts. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at the University of Toronto.
Arin Anderson
Arin Anderson earned her MA in Egyptology at Indiana University in 2021, writing her thesis on A Survey of Methods applied to an Egyptian Cippus: New Insights and Analysis. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at Harvard University.
Fenfang Dong
Fenfang Dong earned her MA in Egyptology at IU in 2021, writing her MA thesis on Contextualizing Nude Female Figurines in Roman Egypt: Materiality, Relationality, Rituality. She is currently a Ph.D. student in archaeology in the anthropology program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York.

Susannah Marshall
Susannah Marshall earned her MA in Egyptology at IU in 2022, writing her MA thesis on One Man, Many Components: The Inner Man and the ‘Soul’ in Egyptian Religion and Literature and the Soul’s Significance in Life, Death, and the Afterlife. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at the University of Liverpool (UK).
Amalee Bowen
Amalee Bowen earned her MA in Egyptology in 2022, writing her thesis on The Reigns of Amenemhat IV and Sobekneferu: New Patterns of Succession and Kingship at the End of the 12th Dynasty. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Egyptology at Yale University.
Leila Hyde
Leila Hyde earned her MA in Egyptology in 2022, writing her MA thesis on Of What Profit Is It? The Importance of Egyptian Symbolism in Christian Egypt as Reflected by Their Spells. She is currently a Ph.D. student and research assistant in the Digital Edition of the Coptic Old Testament Project at the University of Göttigen.
